Zeolite Contraindications

When you should avoid zeolite

Zeolite is very well tolerated

However, there are a few exceptions in which it is not recommended or should be clarified individually by a doctor. This page provides an overview of the most important contraindications.

Zeolith should not be used by:

Patients before or after organ transplants

After an organ transplant, the body's immune system is particularly sensitive and is specifically suppressed by medication. Zeolite could stimulate the immune system and thus trigger rejection reactions. This should be clarified with the transplant doctor treating you.

Pregnant women and nursing mothers

Unfortunately, there is insufficient study data available. For precautionary reasons, it is not recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The health of mother and child should not be exposed to unnecessary risks.

People with impaired kidney function

Silicon compounds are excreted via the kidneys. If kidney function is impaired, it is essential to consult a doctor before taking the product. A previously damaged kidney could be unnecessarily burdened.

Existing severe constipation (constipation)

Zeolite can slow down digestion. If severe constipation already exists, this could result in a worsening of the condition. Only when the digestive system has returned to normal can you consider taking it.

Particular caution: kidney disease

Silicon compounds are primarily excreted via the kidneys. This is not a problem with normal kidney function. If kidney function is impaired, this additional burden could be problematic.

Important: Zeolite itself does not enter the bloodstream. But: A previously damaged kidney could be unnecessarily burdened by the excretion of zeolite degradation products.
